This ( http://www.globalcitizen.org/Content/Content.aspx?id=d6ef20f7-355b-42cc-9b08-cc0262c8ae10&rby=4474c62f-7027-40ed-830a-80b218f40a91 ) is the story of a (fictional) woman living in Afghanistan who goes to the Afghanistan Institute of Learning (AIL) for the very first time. It illustrates her fears, aprehension, hope and journey. Showing the differences between life in the developed world and the undeveloped world.
The story is extremely well written, with subtle emotive language which titilates the reader.
I highly reccomend reading this, if only to get a glimpse into the life of somebody else.

The Happy Card Is Gone
The Happy Card is a card I was given yesterday from the people at an organisation whom I'd never met or been involved with before that day which was personalised.
It was the nicest thing. And it made me feel special and happy.
Hence the title.
Aaaand then I lost it.
